Two of our large rooms come with a bathroom that is yours alone. It sits just outside the room rather than inside it, so it is not an ensuite, but you never share it with anyone. For a lot of students that is the difference between a share house and a home.

It suits students who want real space and their own bathroom without moving into a studio, and anyone who would rather not queue for a shower before a morning lecture.
A generous furnished room with space for a full study setup, a comfortable bed and good natural light, plus a private bathroom a step outside the door and the run of the kitchen and lounge. There are two of these rooms, priced $520 to $600 per week depending on the room.
INSULR Glebe is one house with 7 rooms across two floors, not a corridor of identical units. The plan below shows every room, so you can see exactly where the 2 large rooms with a private bathroom are in relation to the kitchen, the bathrooms and the front door.
There are two of them, each a little different in outlook and light, and priced a little differently too. All are taken at the moment, and the waitlist is open.
Worth saying plainly, because the aggregator sites have not always got it right. This room has its own private bathroom. It sits just outside the room rather than inside it, so it is not an ensuite, but nobody else uses it. There is no kitchenette in the room; cooking happens in the one shared kitchen, which has everything you need and a big table. There is no laundry inside the house either, but there is a laundromat directly across the road. If any of that is a deal breaker, better to know now than on move in day.
You get a key and secured access around the clock, with security cameras on the outside of the building. The shared areas are cleaned every week, so the kitchen and bathrooms stay the way you would want to find them. WiFi is unlimited and already connected. Rent is one weekly figure with every bill inside it, so you never split a power bill with a housemate or wait for an account to be set up.
Getting around is easy. The Glebe Light Rail stop is 2 min on foot, the University of Sydney is about 20 min away on foot, and UTS is 12 min by light rail. Glebe Point Road, with its cafes and the weekend markets, is the street you live on.
The bond is four weeks of rent, held and returned at the end of your lease subject to the usual condition check. The minimum lease is six months, and leases never end in December, so a mid year start runs through to January rather than leaving you looking for somewhere over the summer. Viewings are in person, or live over video if you are still overseas, and we usually reply the same day.
There are no separate bills at INSULR. Your weekly rent covers furniture, electricity, gas, water, air conditioning and heating and unlimited WiFi, plus weekly cleaning of the shared areas, with 24/7 secured access and security cameras on site.
