A large private room with your own balcony, a comfortable bed and plenty of study space, plus a shared bathroom and full use of the kitchen and lounge. As the only balcony room in the house, it tends to go quickly.

INSULR Glebe is one house with 7 rooms across two floors, not a corridor of identical units. The plan below shows every room, so you can see exactly where this room is in relation to the kitchen, the bathrooms and the front door.
What the room does not have
Worth saying plainly, because the aggregator sites have not always got it right. This room does not have its own bathroom. Every bathroom in the house is shared, cleaned weekly, and there is no ensuite anywhere in the building. There is no kitchenette in the room; cooking happens in the one shared kitchen, which has everything you need and a big table. There is no laundry inside the house either, but there is a laundromat directly across the road. If any of that is a deal breaker, better to know now than on move in day.
Living here day to day
You get a key and secured access around the clock, with security cameras on the outside of the building. The shared areas are cleaned every week, so the kitchen and bathrooms stay the way you would want to find them. WiFi is unlimited and already connected. Rent is one weekly figure with every bill inside it, so you never split a power bill with a housemate or wait for an account to be set up.
Getting around is easy. The Glebe Light Rail stop is 2 min on foot, the University of Sydney is about 20 min away on foot, and UTS is 12 min by light rail. Glebe Point Road, with its cafes and the weekend markets, is the street you live on.
Bond, lease and moving in
The bond is four weeks of rent, held and returned at the end of your lease subject to the usual condition check. The minimum lease is six months, and leases never end in December, so a mid year start runs through to January rather than leaving you looking for somewhere over the summer. Viewings are in person, or live over video if you are still overseas, and we usually reply the same day.
